Film Review "Nico's Weg"

 Nico's Weg

Nico's Weg is a simple film by DW Learn German for German learners. This film is a story about a 22 years old man from Spain named Nico who came to Germany to meet his aunt, Yara. But when Nico arrives in Germany, he loses his bag, including his passport, phone, and Yara's address. Nico's also still not fluent in German. Luckily, he met Lisa and her niece, Emma. They helped Nico to find his bag. But it was not that easy. While waiting for his bag to be found, Nico got to know a lot of nice people around Lisa who help him out, and learns German along the way. At the end of the film, Selma found his bag in the road of the street and finally he was able to meet his aunt.

Nico's Weg is great for people who want to learn German in an easy and fun way. This film can be accessed for free on "Deutsch lernen mit der DW" youtube channel. By watching this film, we can also find out about German culture, for example they hug each other when they meet. In one of the scene also mentioned several cities in Germany, such as Colegne, Hamburg, Dusseldorf, Heidelberg, Berlin, and Munich. This certainly adds to our knowledge about Germany.

For me, there is a lot of new vocabulary that I learn through this film. Such as "Gute Reise", "Nicht schlecht", "Herzlichen Glückwunsch" and many more. My favorite words from this film are "Enschuldigung" and "kaputt" because I found out the pronunciation for those words are very interesting and unique. My favorite character is Lisa. I found out that Lisa are very kind, helpful, and smart. She can speak in 3 languages, which is English, German, and Italian. She's also a German teacher. The plot of this film are very interesting and not boring, because we can watch it and get knowledge through it. The moral message that I get from this film is that we have to help each other, especially if there are people who are needed help.
